Hello there! I know everyone has been eagerly awaiting news about the pride carabiner preorders shipping out, and unfortunately I have some bad news in that regard.
The pride carabiners I was sent from my manufacturer had their design altered without my knowledge or approval, which led to the clasps of the bulk order pride carabiners being extremely unstable. Quite frankly, they pop open extremely easily, and I am not comfortable sending them to customers without an explanation and compensation of some form.
I will be attaching videos so you can see the difference between the sample I approved, and the bulk order version I received.
My manufacturer has refused to give me a full refund for these, even though the design was changed behind my back. They refuse to acknowledge that the weak clasp is an issue and insisted the carabiners should be sent to customers regardless. Needless to say, I will no longer be working with them to get carabiners produced. Going forwards I will be sourcing a new, more trustworthy supplier, and fully reworking the carabiner design so that no issues occur in the future.
If you have preordered one of the pride carabiners from me, I will be offering everyone $20 store credit on any item/order you would like. In addition, I will still be sending the defective carabiners out. I hope you can get some sort of use out of them, whether as a pretty decoration or a fidget toy (it’s kinda fun to pop open the clasp and pop it back into place). As stated above, my manufacturer has refused to give me a full refund, meaning I was not returned the funds that were given to me via preorders for the production of the carabiners. I will do my best to make things right with everyone. If there is an item in stock you would like to receive that makes up for the $15 carabiner price, please let me know and I will be happy to send it to you!
If store credit and a different item isn’t an acceptable solution to you, I completely understand. Reach out to me via email (kat@puppypilled.com) and I will provide as many refunds as I am able with the partial refund my manufacturer agreed to give to me after much back and forth over the past week. If there are more requests for refunds than I am able to provide with the partial refund I was given, I will still make sure you receive a full refund as soon as I am able.
Once again, I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment, I know there were many critters excited to receive these, and I was very excited too. I am extremely disappointed that my manufacturer refused to take responsibility for their mistake, leading to a less than perfect solution for you all. I don’t take my responsibility to handle preorder funds lightly, and going forwards I will be cutting down on the amount of preorders I offer heavily, so I can ensure bulk items are actually up to the standard of the sample I approved before making you critters spend your hard earned money on them.
TLDR: Pride carabiner design was changed by my manufacturer without my knowledge, clasps are very unstable compared to the sample I approved. Manufacturer is refusing to give me a full refund. I will do whatever is necessary to make it right by preorder customers, I am offering $20 store credit in addition to sending out the defective items, as well as any one free item from my shop roughly equivalent to the $15 carabiner price. I am extremely sorry for the disappointment.
